The Masked Singer fans are keen to discover more about Keisha Buchanan following her triumph on the ITV programme.

Over the weekend, Keisha emerged victorious in The Masked Singer 2026, finally unveiling herself to the panel and audience after weeks of guessing games.

The Sugababes sensation, who had been disguised as Moth, triumphed over Conkers and Toastie with her electrifying finale rendition of Rihanna's 'Only Girl (In the World)'.

The runners-up spots went to This Morning host Ben Shephard and ex-EastEnders actress Mica Paris.

Masked Singer win

Keisha appeared delighted as she claimed the crown on The Masked Singer after shedding her 'Moth' disguise, which had concealed her identity throughout the competition, reports the Mirror.

Reflecting on her victory, she commented: "I have been a fan of the show for many years," she said. "I absolutely loved it. I really started to embrace Moth! I haven't done many things by myself, so this was so necessary to bring me out of my shell.

"Maya Jama kept guessing it was me and from quite early on so I was excited to see everyone's reaction who disagreed with her! I was smiling the entire time. There were so many amazing singers on the show... It felt amazing."

Sugababes feud and reunion

The original line-up of The Sugababes, launched in 1998, consisted of Siobhan Donaghy, Keisha Buchanan and Mutya Buena. However, following allegations of bullying and their unexpected departures, Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen were brought in as replacements.

Siobhan was the first to exit in 2001, alleging at the time that she had been 'bullied' by Keisha, leading to Heidi stepping in to fill her shoes. Keisha has previously refuted these bullying claims and the pair have since made amends.

Mutya was the next to bid farewell in 2005, later revealing that she was grappling with postnatal depression at the time, which led to Amelle taking her place.

In a shocking turn of events, Keisha claimed she was "replaced whilst still being in the band" when Jade joined in 2009, subsequently stating that the situation had taken a toll on her "emotionally, mentally, financially,".

By 2011, this new version of the band officially disbanded, but fans were overjoyed when, just two years later, the original trio reunited, making headlines and even performing at Glastonbury.

The three apparently buried the hatchet and felt the "timing was right" for a reunion, officially reclaiming their name in 2022.

Horror car crash

In 2024, Keisha disclosed that she had been involved in a horrifying car crash the previous year after losing consciousness whilst driving.

Sharing an image from the accident scene, which depicted a shattered telephone box and a police car, she recounted: "This time last year I blacked out at the wheel..

"Thank you Jesus for my life. Thankful for another year... will speak more on the cause behind the black out another time. Just happy to be here."

King Charles snub

In 2018, Keisha was outspoken when discussing King Charles, posting an image of herself alongside former bandmates Heidi and Amelle during their meeting with him at The Prince's Trust 30th anniversary celebration in 2006.

Whilst her bandmates appeared delighted in the photograph, she was clearly giving the future monarch the "side-eye".

At the time, she posted: "My shade was so real that day, obviously I was polite etc but I couldn't help but think of Diana. Mmm hmmm."

Finding ‘happier’ career

Keisha has previously discussed how the Sugababes now favour their current working arrangements in contrast to the 'gruelling' schedules they endured during the 90s.

Keisha, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy reportedly had merely "four days off a year" and occasionally managed just "two and a half hours sleep" due to their relentless timetable.

On the Smallzy's Surgery podcast, Keisha recalled: "There was once I remember being - I was still living at home with my mum, and I saw my brother once that year. I didn't see him for an entire year."

She continued: "I think the difference between then and now is that we are given our diary, well, given offers, and we can say yes or no. And, you know, Siobhan has kids, so we have to work around that.

"And we work around, sort of, what we can and can't do. I definitely think it's easier for us just to create an atmosphere where we have a little bit more control, and we're happier that way."

The Masked Singer is available on catch up now via ITVX.
