
A huge two-car crash on a busy section of the M4 has sparked traffic chaos in the torrential rain. The collision on the major motorway occurred between Junction 23 Rogiet and the 5,000 metre-long Prince of Wales Bridge Eastbound between Wales and England.
Motorway camera footage shows heavy traffic leading up to the key travel route. Traffic Wales South said lane 3 is blocked, and warned drivers to expect "heavy congestion in the area. A spokesperson for Gwent Police said the crash involved two cars, with recovery of the vehicles now underway. The Prince of Wales Bridge runs over the River Severn between England and Wales and is used by tens of thousands of drivers each day.
