Clarkson's Farm favourite Harriet Cowan was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery after chopping off her finger during a horrifying accident. After sustaining the painful injury, the 24-year-old took to Instagram to update about her health and offer the full details of the gruesome injury. Alongside photos of her bloodied hands and a video in a hospital gown, the farm hand shared: "Sorry, I’ve been quiet! Been a c***y week."
Harriet informed her followers: "Had a run in with a log splitter, chopped the end of my finger off, but a quick surgery, they stitched it back on!!” With work on her mind, she added: "Lambing starts now." And signed off with: "A big thank you to the amazing team at Pulvertaft Hand Clinic." In the post, the farmhand also added before-and-after photos of her fingers to reassure fans that she's on the mend.
The pre-surgery photo from the incident, which happened on Monday, was particularly graphic as it showed her severed middle finger unwrapped from the tissue and in a pool of blood.
In her post-surgery update, one photo showed Harriet's finger had been stitched back together and was healing, while another showed the finger completely bandaged up.
As the news of her injury spread across all social media platforms, fans rallied around the TV star with well-wishes and messages of support as she continues to recover.
One penned: "I was very sorry to hear about your accident. I wish you a full and speedy recovery." As another simply added: "Ouch!"

A third added: "Poor wee lass, she was great fun in the show. It’s a tough and dangerous job being a farmer and hard-working outdoorswoman." While another questioned: "Why do you have to wear a gown when it's just your finger?"
The TV star gained a horde of fans after taking Clarkson's Farm viewers by storm when she joined the show during season four last year to temporarily replace Kaleb Cooper.
Harriet's accident came after she landed a new presenting role on Channel 4's Tiny Farmers, a programme in which children learn to look after farm animals.
A press release for the show said: "Four children are challenged to become egg farmers of the future -from taking on a challenge about looking after the hens to showcasing their cooking skills, this digital content will see how the tiny farmers get on."
