Snow and ice appear to have prompted issues at a UK airport. Passengers at Leeds Bradford Airport are experiencing some delays, as Britain prepares to return in the grip of bitter cold and snowy conditions. 

A plane passenger at the airport claimed to been stuck on a Jet2 plane for several hours, while acknowledging other flights had departed. The passenger told Leeds Live this afternoon: "Chaos at Leeds Bradford Airport, sat on Jet2 flight to Paris for 6hrs now and plenty more delayed due to ice and LBA only having one working de-icer truck and Jet2 no longer having their own in house de-icer, according to pilot. Planes next to us have disembarked and passengers on the Paris flight have also left."
