TalkTV presenter Kevin O'Sullivan was joined by commentator Kinsey Schofield to discuss the latest reports surrounding Meghan Markle. It has been claimed the Duchess of Sussex, 44, may be planning to release a memoir in a bid to "reclaim her story". But Prince Harry is said to be "blocking it with all his might" amid his efforts to repair ties with the royal family.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, has reportedly been approached by publishers offering multimillion-dollar advances for a book that would tell her side of the story following her and her husband Harry's departure from royal duties in 2020.

Speaking on TalkTV, Kinsey commented: "That's not hard for me to imagine a publisher [offering her a multi-million dollar deal]."

However, the royal expert suggested it would not be a good idea for the Duchess of Sussex.

Kinsey claimed: "The deal is she would have to speak about her time in the British Royal Family. We got six hours of Netflix, 90 minutes of Oprah Winfrey. Spare.

How many times do we have to hear your multiple version of events?"

The commentator went on to claim the move could create "friction" for the Sussexes amid claims Harry is trying to make amends with the royals.

"But apparently it's creating friction at home because Harry is so desperate to get back into the family," Kinsey suggested.

A source told RadarOnline: "Meghan feels an intense pull to put her own account on record. In her view, there are entire chapters of her life – particularly during her time within the royal institution – that have either been misunderstood, distorted, or told solely through other people's perspective.

"She believes a memoir would finally allow her to speak without filters and clarify the narrative in her own words."

The insider added, "From a publishing standpoint, the appetite for a Meghan memoir is enormous, and that only reinforces her sense that now is the moment. She doesn't see it as stirring the pot for the sake of drama – she sees it as reclaiming her story."
