
The Met Office has issued snow and ice warnings for areas in England and Scotland on Thursday and Friday. Two yellow alerts are in place, one for Scotland from 4pm tomorrow until 12pm on Friday, and the other for England from 7pm tomorrow until 12pm on Friday.
In both countries, snow will mainly fall on high ground, with some locations potentially seeing as much as 10cm. Elsewhere, between 2cm-5cm is more likely. The Met Office said: "Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces. Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
"Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services."
