A huge gunfight broke out on State Road 613 near Tuturano in Italy, leading to a huge explosion.

According to the intial reports, the attackers blocked the road by positioning a truck across it and then setting the vehicle ablaze, forcing the armored van to halt. Shortly afterward, a group of at least eight individuals arrived in three cars fitted with blue flashing lights resembling those used by police.

The video further shows that plainclothes Carabinieri attempted to chase down the group, but their vehicle was struck and forced off the road.

According to the reports, authorities are carrying out an investigation on the incident. Three suspects were later captured in the area between Campi Salentina, Guagnano, and San Donaci in northern Salento, after being stopped in an Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
