Inquests into the deaths of five babies who Lucy Letby was convicted of murdering are set to open today. HM senior coroner for Cheshire Jacqueline Devonish will formally open inquests on February 4 into the deaths of Baby C, Baby E, Baby I, Baby O and Baby P.
The infants died at the Countess of Chester Hospital in 2015 and 2016, when Letby was employed as a nurse in the neo-natal unit. Letby, 36, from Hereford, is serving 15 whole-life orders at HMP Bronzefield after she was convicted of murdering seven infants and attempting to murder seven others, with two attempts on one of her victims, between June 2015 and June 2016. The inquests come after a new documentary was released by Netflix, which features unseen police footage.
