A prestigious restaurant which had been added to the Michelin Guide in April 2024 has suddenly shut its doors for good. Six Rooftop, who has been in the business for 16 years, served its last customers on February 2.
The restaurant, which is located on the top floor of Gateshead's Baltic Centre for Contemporary art, issued a statement to its customers, saying the challenging economic climate and difficult trading conditions have made it impossible for the business to carry on trading.
