ITV has released a new trailer of its latest royal drama involving Sarah Ferguson and her ex-dresser, who was convicted of murder, just hours after the latest damning Jeffrey Epstein emails emerged. The new royal drama, titled The Lady, focuses on Fergie’s former royal dresser, Jane Andrews, who was convicted of murdering her boyfriend almost 26 years ago.
Ms Andrews worked for Ms Ferguson for nine years, from 1988 until 1997. In the new drama, she is portrayed by Mia McKenna-Bruce, while Fergie is portrayed by Natalie Dormer.
The TV network uploaded the trailer on its social media platforms with the caption: “Jane Andrews, former dresser to Sarah Ferguson, then Duchess of York.

“She rose from Grimsby to Buckingham Palace, and fell from Buckingham Palace to the Old Bailey, on trial for the murder of her partner. The Lady. Coming soon.”
Ms Dormer caused a sensation last year when she announced that she wouldn’t be promoting the new show, following the latest updates regarding Fergie’s links to the convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
At the time, she said that the “new information makes it impossible for me to reconcile my values with Sarah Ferguson’s behaviour, which I believe is inexcusable.”
ITV's new crime drama will follow the rise and fall of the Cleethorpes-born former royal dresser whose dream life came crashing down when she was convicted of murder.
In 2000, Jane Andrews beat her wealthy boyfriend, Tom Cressman, with a cricket bat in his sleep before stabbing him with a kitchen knife at their flat in Fulham, London.
A year later, she went to trial at the Old Bailey, where she was convicted of murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
Ms Andrews spent 14 years in prison before being released on licence in 2015, but she was recalled back in 2018 after claims were made against her for harassing a married man, with police who investigated the case taking no action after finding no evidence. She was re-released in 2019.
The Lady boasts an all-star cast. Aside from Mia McKenna-Bruce and Natalie Dormer, it features Outlander's Ed Speleers asThomas Cressman, Philip Glenister, Claire Skinner, Laura Aikman, Ophelia Lovibond, Mark Stanley, Daniel Ryan, and Sean Teale.
It will air on ITV1 and STV in the UK and be available to stream on ITVX and STV Player.
It comes just hours after Fergie, who has now lost her title of the Duchess of York, was further dragged into humiliation regarding Jeffrey Epstein, following the latest batch of shocking emails to be released by the US Department of Justice.
The former duchess's spokesman previously said she had expressed regret over her association with Epstein and "does not resile" from publicly condemning him.
She has not commented on the latest batch of emails.
