
A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesperson said: "Officers have arrested a 36-year-old man in Salford on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear.
"At around 8.16pm on Sunday 1 February, officers were called to reports that a firearm had been discharged on St Joseph’s Drive, Salford.
"Armed officers were deployed, and following a prolonged stand-off at a property on St Joseph’s Drive, a man was safely detained. He remains in custody for questioning."
