Celebrity chef and Michelin-starred restaurateur Angela Hartnett has revealed what The Traitors presenter Claudia Winkleman is truly like behind the scenes after working alongside her at a charity event.

The culinary expert explained that while she was responsible for preparing breakfast, Claudia's role was to host the occasion.

During a conversation with her Dish podcast co-presenter, Nick Grimshaw, Angela expressed her amazement at how theStrictly Come Dancing star handled herself throughout the event.

“She was there to introduce and welcome everyone, and I came away from that thinking how brilliant she was, because it was 10 o’clock on a Sunday morning,” she remembered.

“She’d given up her time, and everyone wanted to speak to her as it was when Strictly was really taking off.”

Angela went on to praise Claudia’s kindness towards fans: "She literally signed every autograph, took every photograph, and spent time with everyone. I walked away thinking, 'My God, that woman - she was brilliant. I thought she was so good at that.'"

Throughout the years, Claudia has established herself as one of Britain’s most familiar television personalities, having appeared on programmes such as This Morning, Holiday, Hell’s Kitchen, and It Takes Two, the Strictly Come Dancing companion show.

After several years presenting It Takes Two, she began co-hosting the Sunday results programme before partnering with Tess Daly as co-host of Strictly Come Dancing in 2014. Claudia is set to grace our screens tonight as the first series of The Celebrity Traitors gets underway.

Viewers can expect a glittering line-up battling it out in the popular BBC contest with renowned personalities such as Sir Stephen Fry, Alan Carr, Celia Imrie, Clare Balding, and Jonathan Ross.

Speaking to the Daily Star ahead of the new show, Claudia said: “We hope people like it, and they stick with it. To me, this feels like a small, lovely show. It still feels like this precious little egg.”

As 19 celebrities embark on their journey to the castle nestled in the Scottish Highlands, Claudia will once again orchestrate the unfolding drama, determining who will play as Faithfuls — and who will covertly become Traitors.

Those who survive until the end stand a chance to bag up to £100,000 for a charity close to their hearts.

The Celebrity Traitors is set to air at 9 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, 8 October) on BBC One.
