Rock singer Ann Everton has sadly died aged just 43 in a horror multi-car crash while travelling in upstate New York. Ann, most famous for being a member of the band Darsombra, was travelling on Interstate 87 with her husband and bandmate Brian Daniloski on October 3 when their van crashed into a police cruiser who had paused for a traffic stop.

Despite flashing blue lights, the collision saw Ann sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The state trooper who was conducting the traffic stop and Ann’s husband were both taken to hospital and treated for injuries. Now Ann’s brother-in-law Jon Garrett has paid an emotional tribute to the star.

He said: “On behalf of the Everton family, it is with deep sadness that I share the heartbreaking news that my sister-in-law, Ann Everton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon following a car accident.

“Brian was also in the car and sustained severe injuries. He has a long road to recovery ahead. A GoFundMe (link in bio) has been created to help support his immediate and long-term needs. We know Ann would have wanted nothing more than to ensure Brian is cared for during this difficult time, and we are deeply grateful for any donations.”

He described Ann as “an incredibly warm and generous soul and a true artist”, and said she and Brian “built a beautiful life together”.

Brian’s brother Jason, meanwhile, said of his sibling: “It’s been awful. I’ve never heard anguish like that in anybody’s voice.”

The band were set to take on a tour of the US and Canada before the tragic accident.

As well as performing as a “trans-apocalyptic galaxy rock duo”, the couple were yoga instructors and offered free classes in Baltimore.
