Jen Carr, family travel expert and founder of The Travel Mum has shared her five favourite and affordable city breaks, perfect for families. And she says they can all work out cheaper than London.
Although this capital city has a reputation for being pricey, many families find it to be cheaper than a weekend in London. There’s plenty of free activities and autumn is a great time to visit as many of the crowds have died down.
Jen said: “Save on food costs by visiting Copenhagen’s food halls, where you can mix and match affordable dishes. Look into getting the Copenhagen card for unlimited transport and entrance to over 80 attractions. You can add kids onto the card for free.”
