A doctor has shared advice on achieving 'smoothest legs' using products that cost less than £30 each. Dr Sonia Khoranac, a GP with a special interest in Dermatology and a Cosmetic Doctor, explained how a perfect shaving routine changes the look and feel of the skin.

The first tip is to 'always shave when the skin is damp', but she also said: "Your razor makes all the difference - don't use a razor which has five blades, go for one with one or two - the less, the better it is." For instance, Wilkinson Sword's Intuition Rosegold Women's Razor Pack includes one handle and 10 replaceable blades, and it's currently reduced to £20.48 on Amazon.

Dr Sonia then continued: "Once you're done shaving, step out of the shower and apply moisturiser on damp skin. Make sure this is a moisturiser with urea in it, and you will definitely know the difference. And don't forget to exfoliate twice a week. This will help to keep your legs soft, smooth and silky."

There are two shower products Dr Sonia recommended - Naturium's The Smoother Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash, £19 at SpaceNK, and Sol de Janeiro's Bom Dia Body Scrub, £31.20 at Boots - to alleviate skin congestion and reveal brighter, smoother skin. Both are suitable to for KP and blemish-prone bodies, these will leave the skin remarkably soft and smooth.

One Boots shopper gave a five-star review on the Sol De Janeiro body scrub: "Spreads like a dream and the smell is unreal. Rinsing it off was like running my hands over top quality silk. Never known smoothness like it."

A Naturium customer was also happy with her purchase, and said: "It cleanses gently without drying out my skin. The formula is hydrating but not greasy or heavy. A little goes a long way, and I notice a real difference in texture and softness after just a few uses."

As for body moisturisers, Dr Sonia shared a handful of options that are all available to purchase on major online retailers. Face Theory's Glow-AHA Refining Body Cream, £15, is a leave-on exfoliator and moisturiser that combines 9% glycolic acid to enhance cell turnover with intense hydration.

For those with bumpy skin, Byoma's Smoothing Body Serum can effectively treat body blemishes, breakouts, and other areas of concern like KP, helping to smooth skin texture without stripping the skin barrier. It's available at Boots for £11.99.

Vaseline's Gluta-Hya Flawless Glow Serum Burst Lotion, £12.99 at Superdrug, also got Dr Sonia's seal of approval, and it's endorsed by Olivia Attwood. Packed with antioxidants 10 times more powerful than vitamin C, the lotion fights dark spots while moisturises skin for a healthier glow.

With more than 200 reviews available online, some said it delivered a brighter-looking glow on the skin. However, others mentioned that it's not hydrating enough.
