As the weather gets colder and wetter, it's a good time to invest in a warm, waterproof layer that will get you through the winter. Shoppers looking to upgrade their rain gear are just in time for a massive sale at Regatta - and they can snap up a high-tech raincoat at 70% off, reports the Daily Record.
The Voltera Parka is massively discounted at the retailer's website from £220 to £66. It's waterproof, windproof and insulated, making it perfect for keeping warm when out and about on a crisp winter's day.
The brand says it's made from breathable material with a water-repellent finish, plus features taped seams, insulation, and a two-way zip.
Possibly its most impressive feature, though, is that it's heated. The jacket can be powered by a 5V USB power bank (though this is sold separately), allowing wearers to turn up the heat when they need a bit of extra warmth. Now that's unique!
But apart from its high-tech credentials, the Voltera is also easy on the eye, coming in five bright shades (red, slate blue, black, burnt copper and forest green) and topped off with a faux fur-trimmed hood. It's also machine washable, making it easy to take care of.
The parka is getting positive reviews online, with shoppers saying it's "fantastic on chilly days" and "completely waterproof".
"I love this coat," one shopper wrote, adding that "it's now my favourite...It's waterproof, retains heat and it is heated. Can't ask for more than that!"
Another wrote it was a "great coat" but advised to "size down". A third reviewer praised the coat's functional elements, saying they "love the deep pockets and how you can put your things in one pocket and hands in the others".
They added that it "was great to go in the rain and be completely dry. Would highly recommend this coat".
"I have been wearing it every day since I bought it," said another happy customer.
One drawback of the jacket may be that the battery pack for the heated element is sold separately, which is something shoppers should keep in mind to avoid any surprises.
Other than that, a reviewer warned that the heated panel can get too warm, saying they "have only used the heated panel once and had to turn it off when I became too warm". On the bright side, they added that "the battery pack is dual-purpose and can be used for charging my phone".
Snap up the Regatta Women's Voltera Parka for £66, reduced from £220, in the sale now.
