Dublin Airport's Terminal 2 has been given the "all clear" following a security alert, its operator confirmed.

The terminal was evacuated as a "precautionary measure".

Passengers are being allowed to re-enter and flights are expected to resume shortly.

There may be some disruption for the remainder of the day, the DAA said.

Gardaí (Irish police) remain at the scene.

Traffic remains heavy on routes to the airport.

Separately, a Europe-wide software issue is causing minor issues at some airports airports, including Dublin and Cork.
