Outlander: Blood of My Blood is ramping up the tension further, judging by the preview footage for episode eight, reports the Daily Record.

The trailer comes following confirmation that filming for season two is underway in Scotland, whilst viewers remain intrigued about baby William Henry Beauchamp, also known as Simon Fraser.

The episode entitled A Virtuous Woman will witness Henry Beauchamp (portrayed by Jeremy Irvine) at last reunited with his spouse Julia (Hermione Corfield) as it seems the couple will encounter each other at Castle Leoch.

In preview material for the upcoming instalment, Henry caresses Julia's face yet the Great War veteran suspects he's experiencing delusions once more.

Henry declares precisely that: "My mind's playing tricks on me. The longer I stay here, the worse it becomes. I need to leave."

Whilst this represents the eagerly anticipated reunion devotees have yearned for, it's unlikely to go smoothly and it appears Julia and Henry might face separation yet again.

As audiences will recall, Henry descended into temporary insanity following his belief that his wife and offspring had perished, subsequently experiencing visions of being reunited with Julia in future London.

Nevertheless, as the title indicates, the episode's primary emphasis will centre on Ellen MacKenzie's (Harriet Slater) purity following challenges to her reputation from Lord Lovat (Tony Curran).

She will undergo an examination to establish her chastity to ascertain whether she has deceived others regarding her virtue whilst promised to Malcolm Grant (Jhon Lumsden). Ellen is not only fighting for her honour and reputation, but also her life if she fails to pass.

Furthermore, Colum MacKenzie (Séamus McLean Ross) swears to take the life of the man Ellen has "sinned" with.

"I'll take his name to my grave," Ellen declares as it appears her fate is sealed.

Luckily, Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) is set to save Ellen as he and Julia rush to Castle Leoch to rescue her.

Numerous fans took to YouTube's comments section to discuss the teaser and Brian's actions, which echo those of his son Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) when he rescued Claire (Caitríona Balfe) from the wicked Captain Jonathan 'Black Jack' Randall (Tobias Menzies) in Outlander's first series. Jamie has gone on to save Claire numerous times over the seasons, but Brian's actions very much parallel this particular rescue.

One viewer wrote: "Yass, Brian's showing us where Jamie gets his warrior-husband energy! Julia and Henry better reunite, dammit.... [sic]."

A second fan remarked: "Yes! ! They certainly found the perfect actor to play Brian Frazier! [sic].

"Brian Fraser I see where Jamie gets his warrior from. Brian was so loving and caring to Ellen the love of his life," a third commented.

After this week, there will only be two more episodes left before the first season ends, but fans needn't worry as the show will return for a second series.
