President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are enjoying a Royal welcome by the British monarchy this week. As they embark on this significant visit, Melania, who is gearing up to display her "Peak Melania" persona, will be without her "thorn in her side," and she couldn't be happier with this arrangement.

Ivanka Trump, the president's eldest daughter and key advisor during his first term, will be conspicuously absent from this landmark second trip to the U.K., as she enjoys her life outside of politics as a Miami socialite and mother of three.

Over recent years, it has become increasingly clear that Melania and Ivanka have a tense relationship. According to an exclusive report from The Daily Mail, insiders close to the First Lady reveal she is delighted that her stepdaughter, whom she privately refers to as a "thorn in her side," will not be joining them on the state visit. The news comes as Trump's first 10 words to Melania in the UK revealed by lip reader – and it's very British.

"Brace for 'Peak Melania,'" the sources disclosed, telling the news outlet that the First Lady will be as glamorous as ever - hair styled up, gloves on and completely at ease, reports The Daily Mail.

According to Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer Mary Jordan, Melania, 55, held "enormous animosity" towards Ivanka, 43, and was constantly competing with the president's daughter. "[Ivanka] was always kind of vying for space and Melania wanted her own space," Jordan said, reports the Express US.

"Melania didn't need a second first lady that Ivanka had kind of become."

Despite never publicly criticising each other, insiders have revealed a tense relationship between Melania and Ivanka Trump, with both vying for the president's attention.

A notable example of this friction was during Trump's inaugural state visit to the U.K. Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner wanted to arrive at the Buckingham Palace welcome ceremony, hosted by the late Queen Elizabeth II, alongside the president and first lady.

However, Melania put her foot down, insisting they follow protocol and arrive with the rest of the staff members, as per Stephanie Grisham, Melania's former White House chief of staff and press secretary.

Kate Middleton assigned important role in Donald Trump's state visit.

"It is inappropriate, it should just be the president and I," Melania declared, according to Grisham.

In public, Ivanka has adopted a policy of silence, choosing not to comment if she has nothing positive to say.

During a lengthy interview with The Skinny Confidential Him and Her podcast in January, Ivanka notably avoided mentioning Melania at all. "Sometimes the most cutting way to talk about someone is to not talk about them at all," Vanity Fair commented on the interview.

"She didn't mention her stepmother, Melania Trump, once during the lengthy interview, though she profusely praised her mother, the late Ivana Trump, as an 'unbelievable role model for what a working woman could be, almost in mythological terms,' and 'impossibly glamorous.'".

After her father's defeat in the 2020 election, Ivanka Trump, who was once a constant presence by her father's side, has retreated from the public eye. Unlike her brothers, Eric and Donald Jr., Ivanka is not serving in any official capacity within the current administration.

"I love my father very much. This time around I am choosing to prioritise my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics," she announced in a 2022 social media statement following her father's declaration of his 2024 presidential campaign.

President Trump will make history this week during their forthcoming trip to Britain, becoming the first elected political figure in recent memory to receive two state visits from a British monarch.

"This historic second state visit is set to highlight and renew the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom," a White House official disclosed to reporters during a briefing about the upcoming journey. "At the same time, the visit will recognise and celebrate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States."
