BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent has left fans swooning as she wowed in a white gown at the National Television Awards last night (September 10). Sally, 54, stepped out on the red carpet in a slash-necked dress with billowing sleeves, with a thigh-high split up the left side to show off her glitzy silver stiletto heels, complete with a bow over the toe.
Sally clutched a tiny silver bag in one hand and added bracelets up both arms as she posed for photographs. With silver hoop earrings glinting at her lobes, she let her brunette tresses fall loose around her shoulders while grinning for the waiting cameras.
The BBC star opted for a low-key make-up look with a pale pink glossy lip and peach blush at the apples of her cheeks, swiping on a hint of mascara to bolden her lashes.
Sally was at the ceremony to show support for her late pal Rob Burrow, who died after a battle with motor neurone disease in 2024. Sally worked on the documentary There’s Only One Rob Burrow and styled his young daughter’s hair for the awards ceremony in a sweet nod to the late rugby player.
Sadly Rob’s programme lost out in the Best Authored Documentary category, with the gong instead going to Molly-Mae Hague’s Behind It All. She beat out Flintoff, Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me and Boyzone: No Matter What to take the win.
Gary Lineker also shocked the nation when he was awarded the Best TV Presenter gong after more than two straight decades of the prize going to Ant and Dec. Lineker beat the Geordie pair, as well as Stacey Solomon and Alison Hammond, to take the trophy after stepping down from Match of the Day.
Jeremy Clarkson was in attendance to collect his award for Best Factual Entertainment for his Amazon Prime show Clarkson’s Farm, while Call the Midwife took the gong for Best Returning Drama and I’m A Celeb beat back the competition for Best Reality Competition on the night.
