A BMW had crashed into a group of children, aged between seven and eight years old, while turning.
The incident happened at around 1:30pm local time (12:30pm BST) at the corner of Dohnagestell and Seestraße, a large road in Berlin-Wedding to the northwest of the city centre.
The car injured several people including 'many children', according to the German newspaper Bild. Some were lightly injured and an accompanying adult suffered severe injuries, a spokesperson for the Berlin fire brigade said.
Three of the 15 children were taken to Vitchow Hospital nearby.
German emergency services said the crash was an accident.
