Outlander: Blood of My Blood is reaching fever pitch with the stakes more perilous than ever before, following last week's episode that left viewers in absolute turmoil over one of the series' most crucial instalments, reports the Daily Record.

Starz has unveiled a trailer for the upcoming sixth episode, which teases considerable peril and tribulation for Julia (portrayed by Hermione Corfield) and her spouse Henry Beuchamp (Jeremy Irvine).

The preview opens with Julia's waters breaking whilst she lies in bed, realising the labour has begun.

The footage then shows Henry informing Arch Bugg (Terence Rae) that the woman he seeks is his wife.

Subsequently, Henry speaks with a midwife, who confirms Julia has delivered but cautions that circumstances haven't concluded favourably.

There's a revealing glimpse of Arch, which implies he may have instructed the midwife to deceive Henry, though his intentions remain mysterious.

Meanwhile, Lord Lovat (Tony Curran) is scheming to marry Julia despite being aware the infant isn't his offspring.

His motives for the rushed marriage appear to derive from the prophecy declaring Julia's child will become Scotland's next monarch, and he wishes to guarantee his prospects.

Numerous fans flocked to social media to discuss the trailer as they forecasted a dark destiny for Julia and her newborn.

One viewer wrote on YouTube: "I think Arch Bugg is plotting to make Henry think that Julia is dead."

Another concurred: "That's what I think too! He looks a bit shifty just standing there in the background."

One viewer remarked: "Telling him she's alive and where she is (if he knows) would serve him better, since he wants Henry gone."

Another fan expressed their anxiety: "I'm so nervous! Ugh I just want them reunited already [sic]."

A third echoed: "Omg this is so disturbing! ! ! It hasn't released in my country but I saw too many photos of Julia. It's so disgusting [sic]."

There was another heart-wrenching theory: "Oh noooo! I don't want her to lose the baby because she may have to create "The Real Deal" with that thing. I mean Man [sic]."

Yet another viewer theorised: "Claire doesn't have any siblings in Outlander so I think the child is dead.."

However, a different fan pointed out: "All we know about her parents from the books is that they died in a car accident when she little. They will never make it back to her and she'll likely never know what happened to them, so she'd never know if she had any siblings."

One hopeful fan predicted: "Arch made her lie. At Julia's wedding to Lord Lovett [sic], Henry will attend. Their eyes will meet at the very end of the episode and it will end or close to the end, it will end as their escaping together. Brian will help."

Viewers will have to keep watching to see how the episode unfolds, but it seems things are set to become even more tense as the first series approaches its conclusion.
