Vladimir Putin’s leading TV propagandist attack dog has threatened to sink Britain underwater with Russia’s new high-speed nuclear torpedo. Menacing Vladimir Solovyov is paid a fortune to parrot Kremlin narratives on state-controlled television, and he issued the threat just two days after hypocrite Putin said he has no desire to attack anyone.

The warmonger’s propaganda mouthpiece urged using the Poseidon nuclear torpedo, or drone, to be used to unleash a tidal wave washing over Britain and drowning the population.

The untested “super weapon” is designed to carry strategic nuclear warheads of up to 100 megatons and could unleash catastrophic destruction.

Its underwater speed is up to 115mph, with a capability to operate at depths below 3,000 ft, according to Russian sources.

His threat was issued as Putin refuses to engage with Donald Trump’s peace process, while his regime blames Britain for leading Western support for Ukraine.

“A good idea, for testing Poseidon [a Russian high-speed underwater nuclear torpedo] - Britain,” said Solovyov in his latest diatribe.

“For testing the Chinese analogue of Poseidon [attack] Japan.

“I am not calling for anything, about anything, in any way, I am simply stating: The British say their task is to inflict a strategic defeat on us.

“Well, let them say it from under the water.”

He also called to obliterate NATO states Latvia and Estonia, claiming without evidence that they had been used to launch Ukrainian drones on Russian territory.

“So these places should be wiped off the face of the earth,” he said.

“If they launch from there onto our territory, we must strike back.”

Yet Putin said two days ago: “As for ‘Russia’s aggressive plans with respect to Europe’, I want to emphasise once again that this is complete nonsense, which has absolutely no basis.”

Despite his three-and-a-half year bid to invade Ukraine causing hundreds of thousands of deaths, he said: “Any sane person is perfectly aware that in Russia there has never been, is not, and will never be any desire to attack anyone.”

Trump insisted he can still broker a peace deal between Putin and Zelensky.

He aims to talk to the Russian despot in the coming days.

"I've been watching it, I've been seeing it, and I've been talking about it with President Putin and President Zelensky,” he said.

“Something is going to happen, but they are not ready yet. But something is going to happen. We are going to get it done.”

Sir Keir Starmer is due in Paris today for talks between multiple European leaders and Zelensky, aiming to endorse plans for security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a peace deal.

“We are ready, us Europeans, to provide security guarantees to Ukraine,” said President Emmanuel Macron.

“It enables us to say solidly that we are ready for a robust peace for Ukraine and Europeans, but the question now is to see the sincerity of Russia.”

But Moscow said overnight that the presence of foreign troops in Ukraine is “unacceptable” to Putin.

Meanwhile, Putin kept up overnight attacks on Ukraine, although at a lesser scale than many recent days.

Fire ignited in Odesa after a strike by Russian drones.

And Putin’s forces attached Zaporizhzhia region in Ukraine 487 times in the past day, including a dozen air strikes.
