Downton Abbey fans are being treated to three stunning Radio Times covers this week in honour of the third and final movie adaptation hitting the big screen on September 12, and one of the shots reveals a huge spoiler for the forthcoming flick. Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale sees the cast returning to send the show and the Crawley family off in style after 15 years of big and small screen adventures since it first launched on ITV in September 2010.

Joanne Frogett, 45, and Brendan Coyle, 62, who play married servants Anna and John Bates, pose together in character on one cover. Anna cradles a baby bump, indicating the pair is expecting a sibling for their son, John Bates Jr., who was born during the show's series finale in 2015. Although this had been hinted at, the image seems to confirm the couple will have happy news in the eagerly anticipated big-screen outing.

Meanwhile, on another cover, Michelle Dockery, 43, and Elizabeth McGovern, 64, embody their characters Lady Mary Talbot and Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham.

Both look stunning in 1930s-style evening gowns and tiaras as the family’s newest canine companion, Teo, sits at their feet.

The third and final cover features actors Harry Hadden-Paton, 44, and Laura Carmichael, 39, as their on-screen alter egos Herbert “Bertie” Pelham, 7th Marquess of Hexham, and his wife, Lady Edith.

Bertie looks dashing in a white tie and tails, while Edith is dressed in a glamorous gown. Like her sister and mother on the previous cover, Edith sports a tiara on her head.

Other returning cast not featured on the collectors' item souvenir covers include Hugh Bonneville, 61, as Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham and Raquel Cassidy, 57, as Phyllis Baxter, who is the lady's maid to Lady Grantham.

Also returning are Paul Giamatti, 58, and Dominic West, 55, reprising their roles as Harold Levinson from the television series and Guy Dexter from the previous film, respectively. Meanwhile, while Joely Richardson, 60, Alessandro Nivola, 53, Simon Russell Beale, 64, and Arty Froushan, 32, join the cast.

After six seasons and two movies, the hit period drama is set to conclude with the third and final film, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. The film follows the family and their staff as they enter the 1930s and lead Downton Abbey into the future.

Set in 1930, Michelle Dockery’s Lady Mary finds herself ostracised by society for her divorce, while Hugh Bonneville’s Lord Grantham faces financial difficulties.
