We've witnessed a boom in enthusiasm for Korean skincare lately. Naturally, then, shopping writer Rachel jumped at the opportunity to sample several popular products that have left the beauty world (and TikTok) buzzing in recent months.

One retailer that has really embraced the Korean trend is Boots. In fact, the health and beauty giant unveiled its debut K-Beauty edit back in March, which swiftly sold out after barely reaching the shelves.

For those who missed the boat, the high street stalwart has officially returned with its second launch of the year - the limited edition Boots K Beauty Skincare Edit - and Rachel managed to secure one to verify whether it delivers value.

Before we explore the box itself, it's worth noting the value of the bundle. Costing £35, this collection boasts eight exceptional products, with five being full-sized items, totalling a value of £89.03 - delivering substantial savings of over £54.

For fellow beauty enthusiasts, Boots' collection offers the perfect opportunity to acquire some of K-Beauty's most sought-after products, carefully crafted to "hydrate, soothe and brighten for that glass skin glow."

Before we highlight some personal favourites from the edit, which suit both devoted followers and newcomers to Korean skincare, there are several comparable bundles worth exploring.

Take LookFantastic's The K-Beauty Edit, for instance, which costs £45 but carries a value of £145, providing £100 in savings on skincare legends like LANEIGE, Beauty of Joseon, and Biodance. For those just dipping their toes into K-Beauty waters, I've spotted this Limited Edition Korean Skincare Starter Kit on Beauty Bay for £86.05, reduced from £122.95. It features six gentle yet effective products from beloved brands, including ANUA, SKIN1004, and Round Lab.

Meanwhile, Boots' K Beauty Skincare Edit is brimming with everything from sheet masks to oil cleansers, all boasting innovative formulas to revolutionise the skincare game. After trying several products, these are the ones Rachel thinks deserve a special mention.

What were the standout selections from the Boots K Beauty Skincare Edit?

Tocobo Coconut Clay Cleansing Oil, 200ml - worth £18

Over recent years, Rachel has been attempting to incorporate double cleansing into my daily regimen, and this "unique" cleansing oil could well become my fresh favourite.

Rachel said: "Enriched with calamine clay, olive oil and coconut oil, I adored its featherlight, creamy consistency that thoroughly purified my complexion without leaving it feeling stripped of essential moisture. Indeed, it completely dissolved all my makeup and skincare without leaving any traces or residue behind, all whilst ensuring my skin never felt congested or parched."

Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Cleanser, 150ml - worth £15

Not only did this cleanser deliver the velvety consistency Rachel favours when it comes to a face wash, but it's also somewhat "purifying" thanks to the mildly acidic (pH 5.0 - 6.0) formula that eliminates impurities, all whilst preserving moisture balance.

Rachel said: "I found it to be quite lightweight, with no strong scent, which is ideal for dry, sensitive skin types. While it might not be the most powerful cleanser to remove heavy-duty makeup, it is ideal for either being used in the morning to wash away sleep or as the second step in a double cleanse to keep skin soft and supple."

Anua Niacinamide 10% and TXA 4% Serum, 30ml - worth £22

Another brightening powerhouse that Rachel has used regularly over the past week is the Anua serum, which is great for targeting dull skin.

Rachel explained: "Let's face it, we can't get that glass-skin glow without the right serum, and I loved that this one melted into the skin without leaving any stickiness on my face - although it is slightly tacky at the start, it does absorb quite quickly. Packed with a high dose of hero ingredient niacinamide, it's ideal for those with larger pores and dull, tired-looking skin."

While the products I mentioned above are my highlights so far, that's not to say the rest are worth any less of a mention. In fact, there are still a few I want to get round to, particularly the innovative VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100 2-Step Mask.

There are a total of eight products inside:

  • Tocobo Calamine Pore Control Cleansing Oil 200ml (FULL SIZE)
  • Biodance Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Sheet Mask 1pc
  • Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Cleanser 150ml (FULL SIZE)
  • VT Reedle Shot 100 2-Step Mask 28g 1pc (FULL SIZE)
  • Purito Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream 100ml (FULL SIZE)
  • Innisfree Daily UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 30 10ml
  • Anua Niacinamide 10% and TXA 4% Serum 30ml (FULL SIZE)

Given the rapid sell-out of its last Korean skincare edit, it wouldn't be surprising if this one proves to be another hot favourite. To avoid disappointment, the new Boots K Beauty Edit is available for just £35 exclusively online now.
