Outlander: Blood of My Blood fans have been whipped into a frenzy following the release of this week's episode trailer, reports the Daily Record.

The episode, titled Needfire, is set to air at the end of the week and viewers are already speculating about the plot twists, given that it marks the midpoint of the 10-episode season. The anticipation follows the fourth episode of Blood of Blood which paid homage to one of its late cast members and offered insight into Claire Fraser's (Caitríona Balfe) name.

Following the release of the trailer, many fans took to the comments section to discuss the upcoming scenes, particularly those involving Brian Fraser (played by Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater).

One fan commented on YouTube: "OMG ELLEN AND BRIAN ARE GOING TO BE INTIMATE THIS COMING EPISODE! ! ! I WAS USING MY DETECTIVE SKILLS AND THE BUILDING BEHIND THEM IS THE SAME BUILDING IN THE TRAILER WHERE THEY ARE KISSING, IF YOU LOOK AT THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BUILDING IT IS THE SAME WINDOW AND SHE IS WEARING THE SAME COLOUR SKIRT! ! ! I AM SO EXCITED ."

Another replied: "Wow, you've got some serious detective skills!

"I love how closely you're watching-those kinds of details are exactly what make creating Outlander so rewarding.

"Ellen and Brian's journey has been building toward something powerful, and it's amazing to see fans like you picking up on the visual clues and emotional tension.

"You're spot on with the skirt and the window-nothing gets past you! Thanks for being so invested. Your excitement fuels us to keep pushing the story deeper. Let's just say... you're in for a wild ride this episode."

Meanwhile, one Reddit user exclaimed: " Brian and Ellen! ! ! Finally!

"And if Julia goes to Beltane, and Henry accompanies Malcolm Grant...! ! !".

Another fan echoed: "Brian and Ellen screen time finally! ! !".

However, there are growing concerns for time travellers Julia (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), given their close proximity to the time portal during Beltane.

One viewer expressed: "I'm scared Julia will be stopped from going by Lord Lovat due to being pregnant with 'his' child."

Another shared: "I'm a bit worried that one of them might try to go through the stones. Henry seems to be doubting that Julia's in the same time as him, and Julia seems intent on going back to the future."

But there could be even grimmer news for Henry after Isaac Grant (Brian McCardie) instructed Arch Bug (Terence Rae) to murder his bladier at some point.

The trailer also hinted at Henry's demise after Ned Gowan (Conor MacNeill) asked him in the episode five trailer: "What if you never find her?"

Henry defiantly assured him he would, with Ned simply responding: "I fear it may be the death of you."

Within all of this, there's been a theory that Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) could be named after Malcolm Grant (Jhon Lumsden) as a tribute to him for helping Brian and Ellen be together.

Jamie's full name is James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser, which some thought was connected to the Blood of My Blood character, however, this was quickly debunked by many Outlander fans.

One posted on Reddit: "Jamie wasn't named after "Malcom Grant" he was named after the 3 kings of Scotland James, Alexander and Malcom."

A second echoed similar sentiments: "All of Jamie's names are very common given names in Scotland. I'm not aware that we are ever told who he is specifically named for. In the books, he mentions at some point that he has the names of three Kings of Scotland , but that doesn't mean he was named for them specifically."

They added: "IMHO, there is no reason to think that the name Malcolm has any connection to Malcolm Grant, especially given that Jamie was named seven years after the events in the prequel story take place [sic]."

A third noted: "James for his grandfather Jacob, but BoMB might make their own explanation for it to be what Ellen's name would've been if she was a boy. Alexander is I believe for an uncle.

"Malcolm is the name of some Scottish kings but I also read somewhere that it's another version of Colum."
