The Metropolitan Police has given an update on today's Notting Hill Carnival, revealing it has made 140 arrests - including 15 for assaults on police officers and four relating to sexual assaults.

A breakdown of the total offences is below:

Assault on police – 15

Possession of an offensive weapon – 21

Possession of cannabis – 25

Possession of class A drugs – 6

Possession of other drugs – 2

Possession with intent to supply drugs – 19

Robbery – 2

Public order – 4

Sexual offences – 4

Other – 42

Of the officers who were assaulted, one has injuries to their hand which required hospital treatment.
