Aldi has confirmed its opening hours over the August bank holiday so customers can plan their food shopping over the long weekend.
Supermarkets often operate on different opening hours over a Bank Holiday, so if there’s any essentials you need to pick up it’s always worth checking when your local store will be open to avoid disappointment. Supermarkets aren’t legally required to close on Bank Holidays so retail workers will be heading to work as normal on Monday, August 23. While there’s no legal requirement to close, stores can choose to do so, or may operate on reduced opening hours instead, often due to reduced staff availability.
Aldi has confirmed that normal opening hours will remain in place at all of its stores across the UK on Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24.
On bank holiday Monday, August 25, stores in England and Wales will then be open from 8am until 8pm, while in Scotland stores will close as normal at 10pm.
Aldi said the opening times of some of its stores may vary so customers are advised to check its website before visiting.

In a message to customers, Aldi said: “Regular opening hours will remain in place at Aldi’s stores across the UK on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August.
“Stores in England and Wales will then be open from 8am until 8pm on Monday 25th August, while in Scotland stores will close at 10pm as normal. The opening times of some stores may vary, so customers should check Aldi’s website before making their journey.
“The UK’s cheapest supermarket has everything shoppers need for an amazing Bank Holiday, whatever the weather.
