A major shopping centre in Manchester has been taped off by crime scene investigators this morning after an alleged attack saw a man rushed to hospital. Greater Manchester Police officers have taped off a city centre shopping precinct after reports of an attack.
Officers have been at the scene this morning (August 20), including crime scene investigators as well as a non-uniformed car.
A large area, including lawns and pavement, outside the Betfred shop at Salford Shopping Centre, on Pendleton Way, was cordoned off.
It comes after police were called just after 5am to reports of an assault.
Three men have been arrested, the police confirmed,
A man was rushed to hospital, where he remains.
The man has suffered head injuries, say police.
"We were called to Salford Precinct at about 5:10am today to reports of an assault," said a statement from the force.
"Following a swift response, three men have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in custody.
"The male victim is in hospital being treated for head injuries."
