Noel Gallagher found himself on the receiving end of a harsh reaction from the crowd during Oasis's final night in Ireland on their current 2025 tour. The 58 year old was performing the second of two nights at Croke Park in Ireland when he seemed to upset his audience.

Before performing Half The World Away on Sunday night, Noel - who surprised fans last year when he reunited with brother Liam Gallagher to announce the current Oasis Live'25 Tour- asked: "Anyone from Manchester?" However, he hadn't expected the response, as the crowd began booing.

Taken aback by the response, he added: "Excuse me, excuse me? Booing for the people in Manchester? Oh no, no, no, no, that won't do! Be nice!"

And as he introduced Half The World Away, he said: "This is for the Royle Family – the real Royal Family," a dig at the House of Windsor. Ahead of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, he said he wasn't "anti-royal" but noted that the "appeal" of the monarchy had been "dwindling".

"There are other things for people to be interested in," he remarked, before labelling the monarchy as "a bit farcical.", reports the Mirror.

The chilly reception from the Dublin audience couldn't dampen a triumphant weekend for Noel and Liam - who delivered two sold-out performances at the legendary Irish venue - which can accommodate over 80,000 spectators simultaneously.

They entertained a capacity crowd on Saturday evening - which featured several family members amongst the attendees.

Liam disclosed that his mother, Peggy, was observing from the stands on Saturday as he devoted a song to her.

Prior to performing Stand By Me, he announced to the crowd: "This one I want to dedicate to my mum, my mum is here tonight."

Devoted mother Peggy has been backing her sons since they chose to set aside their disputes to entertain fans following a break that commenced in 2009.

During a June interview, the Gallagher matriarch was questioned whether she played a role in the reconciliation between Noel and Liam.

She responded: "I was the instigator, yes. But sure, wasn't it always going to happen at some time or other? It was their choice, of course. Look, you can't force them to do things they don't want to do."

Also witnessing Saturday's performance was Noel's 25 year old daughter, Anaïs Gallagher.

Relishing the atmosphere amongst the crowd, she posted video footage on social media of a mate singing along to Live Forever.

She subsequently shared a photograph of her father alongside her uncle, Liam, as they performed on stage to the joy of Oasis enthusiasts.

After the Dublin concerts, Oasis will next travel to Canada where they will perform in Toronto. The band will then embark on a North American tour before returning to the UK for two additional London performances.

Following this, they will jet off to Asia and Australia, concluding their global tour in South America, with the final show set to take place in Brazil in late November.
