Police have launched an urgent search for an 11-year-old boy last seen wearing football kit and crocs in a Nottingham suburb. Byron was spotted in a Nottingham Forest FC kit in the Basford area of the East Midlands city at around 11am on Saturday, August 16, shortly before he went missing. Nottinghamshire Police has issued a public appeal for help tracking down the youngster after expressing concerns for his safety.

The force shared photos of the 11-year-old alongside a plea for information about his whereabouts, also disclosing that he has links to the Bulwell and Radford parishes. In one image, Byron is pictured wearing a black Paris Saint-Germain football kit, while another shows him in a black hoodie. 

He was last seen in a navy and pink Nottingham Forest FC kit, black socks and a pair of crocs, police said.

The 11-year-old was also described as looking older than his age and standing at around 5ft tall, with a medium build and short brown hair.

Publicising the appeal in a social media post, a spokesperson for the force said: "Have you seen missing Byron?

"We are concerned for his safety and urgently want to hear from anyone who has seen him.

"Byron was last seen in the Basford area at 11am on Saturday, August 16. He also has links to Bulwell and Radford.

Nottinghamshire Police asked anyone who had seen him to call 101, quoting incident 244 of Saturday, 16th August 2025.
