Ever since he snubbed his father’s 50th birthday, David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn has distanced himself from his famous family. His parents were left heartbroken again when he failed to invite his relatives to his secret vow renewal. Brooklyn, and his wife Nicola Peltz first tied the knot back in 2022 and said ‘I Do’ for a second time on August 2 in Westchester County in the US.

The Peltz family attended the lavish event and even had key roles in the ceremony, but the Beckham’s were nowhere in sight. Brooklyn’s siblings reportedly only learned about the second wedding after it happened, reading about it on a US website.

Now, a source close to the Beckhams has exclusively told Express.co.uk that despite the brutal snub, the power couple are not ready to give up on their first-born son.

They told us: “Victoria and David are not giving up on their first born. They were both gutted to not have been invited or even informed about Brooklyn’s nuptial renewal but they will continue to fight to save their relationship with him.

“Victoria prides herself on having raised four stable and respectful children, which isn’t easy when they’ve grown up in the celebrity spotlight their whole lives. But she is incredibly proud of how all of them conduct themselves.”

They went on: “Family comes first and Victoria and David will continue reaching out to Brooklyn in the hope that he eventually comes around. They want him to know that he will always be welcome at their home.

“Both David and Victoria are just glad that Brooklyn and his wife haven’t gone down the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle route and slated the family publicly and aired their dirty laundry for money.”

This isn’t the first time that family tensions have risen between the Peltz’s and the Beckham’s. While at her £3million wedding in 2022, Nicola chose a Valentino gown to walk down the aisle instead of a dress made by her fashion designer mother-in-law.

For her vow renewal, Nicola wore her mother Claudia’s wedding gown from 1985. She completed the look with the original £1.3million ring.

Three years after their original wedding, the couple picked Nelson’s Westchester estate in New York as their setting. In a shared Instagram post from the lavish event, the happy couple simply wrote: “Only love”. They also shared a TikTok of their laid-back proposal, set to a Ysabelle Cuevas track featuring the lyric: “Lost in your eyes”.

Brooklyn, who wore a suit with no tie, called the ceremony a “really beautiful experience” which was all about creating a “really cute memory” they would treasure forever. But this was certainly not the case for his parents, who missed out on the event completely.
