Netflix has just unveiled the trailer for Wednesday season two, part two, offering a glimpse of the remaining episodes from the latest series after fans were left confused over why the new run only had four episodes, reports The Mirror.
The supernatural series arrived earlier this month, featuring Wednesday Addams (portrayed by Jenna Ortega) tackling a fresh mystery centred around the Willow Hill Asylum, deceased Outcasts, and killer crows. There's been plenty of wild theories since then speculating about what's to come.
The new preview reveals the comeback of Principal Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie) following Wednesday's awakening from her comatose condition.
Weems smiles and declares: "Rise and shine sleepy head" whilst Wednesday attempts to understand why she's encountering the former Nevermore headmistress, who met her demise at the hands of Marilyn Thornhill/Laurel Gates (Christina Ricci) back in season one.
Weems proceeds to clarify: "This isn't hell but I understand the confusion", channelling her Sandman character Lucifer Morningstar, before continuing: "Because I am your new spirit guide, surprise."
Weems shall now be directing Wednesday after the teenager lost her psychic powers alongside Goody's book which could have assisted her in recovering her abilities.
Regrettably for Wednesday, she alone can perceive Weems.
Alongside Weems in this newly expanded capacity, Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) remains at large and intends to eliminate both Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) and Wednesday.
Tyler adopts a hooded disguise whilst going incognito and seems to be present at Nevermore.
Nevertheless, a determined Wednesday pledges to Enid that she shall resolve the Tyler predicament.
However, her companion responds: "Fix it? You're the reason he escaped."
There's also a glimpse of the fundraising gala at Nevermore that Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) has organised to boost the school's coffers, alongside a passionate Tango between Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán).
Wednesday subsequently connects with Grandmama (Joanna Lumley) during a clay pigeon shooting session, before Morticia accompanies the pair for a mystical crystal ball consultation.
Morticia and Wednesday come to blows as the teenage detective insists on uncovering the family's major secret, apparently questioning both her mother and grandmother regarding Aunt Ophelia, who has been absent for two decades.
The trailer concludes on a foreboding note as a voiceover cautions: "There will be a price to pay."
A tombstone hints that Wednesday might also meet her demise if she fails to exercise caution.
Christie hinted at her comeback before the trailer's release when she appeared at the Outcast Assembly event during the programme's Global Doom Tour.
The Game of Thrones and Severance star stepped onto the platform as a recording of her voice was broadcast.
Supporters heard the recording of Weems declaring: "Did you really think Nevermore would let me go so easily? I was never gone, you just stopped looking."
The second instalment will also showcase an appearance from Lady Gaga, though it appears the international pop sensation and performer hasn't featured in the trailer.
Netflix had previously announced Lady Gaga will portray iconic Nevermore instructor Rosaline Rotwood, who will encounter Wednesday.
Despite being absent from the anticipated series, it's probable she will be making a spectacular debut.
Wednesday season 2, part 2 will be released on Netflix on Wednesday, September 3
