The Chase's Paul Sinha has disclosed the two-word request from his co-star Bradley Walsh, just before the presenter experienced a major change.
For decades, Bradley Walsh has remained among Britain's most beloved actors, featuring in Coronation Street and delivering numerous captivating performances in crime dramas.
In recent times, he has further cemented his standing by taking on presenting duties for the hugely popular ITV quiz programme, The Chase.
Paul, affectionately dubbed "The Sinnerman" on the programme, offered a glimpse into his friendship with Bradley Walsh while reminiscing about his earlier years.
Describing how both his parents were enthusiastic cooks, Paul disclosed on a recent My Time Capsule podcast episode that one particular dish – his mother's lamb curry – remains vivid in his memory.
Continuing his conversation with podcast presenter Michael Fenton Stevens, Paul discussed his "intense nostalgic longing" for the meal and explained how he succeeded in getting Bradley Walsh hooked on its wonderful taste: "I have official confirmation that it's as good as I think because I used to talk about it to Bradley Walsh quite a lot."
With Bradley apparently persuaded by Paul's glowing endorsement, Paul remembered how The Chase presenter had instructed him that he had to get his parents to cook it for him.
After his parents agreed and brought the dish to Bradley via their son, Paul remembered how his colleague was absolutely amazed, remarking: "You've never seen a man quite as transformed in a short period of time as you saw. But we have official validation from Britain's greatest TV game show host."
Brought up by his Bengali Hindu parents in London during the 1970s, Paul would subsequently become a GP (General Practitioner), though his television career didn’t begin until he featured on The Weakest Link in the early 2000s.
Following his elimination in fourth place on the programme, he later participated in University Challenge: The Professionals, Are You an Egghead?, Mastermind and Brain of Britain.
However, he established his television reputation in 2011 when he was chosen to join the ITV show as the newest Chaser.
He became part of the team alongside fellow Chasers, including Mark Labbett and Shaun Wallace, as they challenged participants.
