WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Outlander: Blood of My Blood

Outlander: Blood of My Blood made its debut last week and has already amassed a dedicated fanbase who are enamoured with the new Starz drama series, reports the Daily Record.

The third episode is set to grace our screens at the end of this week, and fans are already theorising about potential plot developments, given that unlike its predecessor, Outlander, this series isn't based on any books.

The initial two episodes charted the passionate wartime love story between Henry Beauchamp (portrayed by Jeremy Irvine) and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield), conveyed through letters, leading up to their ill-fated journey to Inverness where they were transported back to the 18th century at Craigh na Dun.

Julia and Henry were tragically torn apart when she was the first to travel back in time, with her husband quickly following suit.

Henry is now frantically searching for Julia, who is unaware that her husband has also travelled through time.

Despite the seemingly hopeless situation of Henry and Julia being trapped in the past with no apparent way back to their own era, the trailer for Outlander: Blood of My Blood seems to hint at an intriguing time travel clue that may have been overlooked by fans.

The trailer depicts Henry sprinting along a path, seemingly overjoyed.

In the backdrop, a woman dressed in 20th-century clothing is seen cycling, but a detail that might have escaped viewers' notice is a war memorial with the years 1939 to 1945 etched into the stone behind him.

This implies that Henry is planning to return through the stones, hoping to reunite with Julia.

However, it appears that Henry has travelled too far into the future, as WWII has already taken place.

This could indicate that while Henry made it back, Julia might still be trapped in the past.

Henry's whereabouts remain uncertain, but he could still be in Inverness, hinting at a potential crossover between Outlander and Blood of My Blood.

If Henry has journeyed back to the future, he might encounter the grown-up version of his daughter Claire Fraser (Caitríona Balfe), possibly without recognising her.

Alternatively, depending on when exactly Henry arrives, Claire may already be lost in time, having first passed through the stones in 1946.

There's also a chance that Henry might cross paths with Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies) in his quest to find Claire, or even Reverend Wakefield (James Fleet), who previously helped the Oxford historian search for his missing wife.

Given that there's no source material for Blood of My Blood regarding Claire's parents, fans will have to wait and see how this plot unfolds and whether it ties into the show's second season, which is currently being filmed.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood airs on Fridays on Starz in the USA and on Saturdays on MGM+ via Prime Video in the UK

Outlander season 8 will air on Starz and MGM+ via Prime Video in early 2026
