American rapper T-Hood - whose real name is Tevin Hood, has died after he was fatally shot in his own home. The 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Tevin Hood, was best known in the Southern rap scenes for his hit singles such as READY TO GO and Big Boots. According to TMZ, Gwinnett County police arrived on the scene following reports of a shooting after a dispute broke out in Snellville on Friday (August 8).

The outlet claims that although Hood was taken to hospital, he later succumbed to his injuries and sadly died. An investifation into the Perculator hitmaker's death is now believed to be underway, with officials treating it as a homicide. Currently, one person has been arrested in connection with the shooting and is being interviewed by officers.

While motive is unclear, and the circumstances surrounding the alleged disupte are unknown, Yulanda - Hood's mother - claims a party was not going on at the time of his death.

Hood was last active on his Instagram account last week, with his comments section now filled with tributes to the beloved rapper online. His music producer, Deddotwill, wrote: "We was just on the phone all day I can't believe you are gone. REST IN PEACE T-HOOD I LOVE YOU BROTHER."

Music artist AYOO KD added: "Love you Brudda ain't no way you left me like that 'crying emoji]" as singer Da Kid K gushed: "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BRO."
