Downton Abbey star Lily James bared all in the Canadian wilderness as she marked the end of filming her latest project. The 36-year-old actress has been in Vancouver shooting upcoming thriller Harmonia, which also stars Carrie Coon, Bella Ramsey and Odessa Young. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Lily posted a photo dump of her time on set, including a naked snap taken outdoors, plus shots of her in a pink swimsuit on the beach, a black one-piece and posing against a display of roses.

Inspired by real-life events, the film is based on director Guy Nattiv’s grandmother and her involvement in an insidious cult. Harmonia is set for release next year. Lily stars alongside Carrie Coon, Bella Ramsey and Odessa Young. In addition to Harmonia, the British screen siren also has The Angry Birds Movie 3 and Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo in the works.

While she boasts a varied CV, the Pursuit of Love star has previously admitted her transformation into Pamela Anderson for Hulu hit Pam & Tommy came at a cost.

The 2022 series charted Pamela’s turbulent relationship with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, played by Sebastian Stan.

Despite earning her Golden Globe and Emmy nominations, Lily later revealed she was “shot to s**t” and “a real wreck” after staying in character throughout the shoot.

Lily told The Mirror: “It was such a screwed-up process. You just have to be patient with yourself. The hours are so long and you feel really burnt out. Your nervous system is just like, shot to s***. I felt like a real wreck at the end of it.”

The star confessed she spoke to her own mother in Pamela’s voice and never properly left the character during filming, saying the difference between her real-life self and Pamela was too great.

“The difference from me to her was too extreme to go back and forth. So, I had to stay in this middle no man’s land of like Lily/Pamela most of the time. I would totally slip into her voice,” she explained.

“Even when I went out for dinner and was ordering with the waitress or talking to my mom on the phone, I would be American. I think I’ve lost lots of jobs – because I keep speaking like Pamela in any audition,” she added.

Her physical transformation into the Baywatch icon, who is currently starring alongside new beau Liam Neeson in The Naked Gun reboot, took four hours a day in the makeup chair, which Lily said gave her “courage from disappearing” into someone else.

Lily was nominated in the Lead Actress category at the 2022 Emmy Awards but lost out to Amanda Seyfried for The Dropout. Pam & Tommy also revisited the infamous sex tape scandal that rocked Pamela and Tommy during their three-year marriage.
