The UK is set for blazing heat once again this summer with 30C. Latest maps from WXCHARTS show the 15 hottest counties which will see the most heat. While temperatures had taken a brief cool turn, maps show the heat will be back with 30C to be seen in some parts of the country.
On Thursday August 14, temperatures will begin to heat up with large parts of London and the south coast seeing an increase to warmer weather. Maps for Wednesday, August 16 at 6pm show that the east of England and London will see the hottest weather with temperatures of around 30C. Towards the midlands, temperatures will cool slightly with around 28C.
In the north of England and in Scotland, temperatures will be cooler at around 19C.
By Friday August 16 at 6am, temperatures will cool considerably with the highest temperature to be 19C in London.
However, by 6pm on the same day, maps show highs of 29C will be seen.
A forecast by the Met Office says: “A changeable pattern across northwestern areas of the UK at first with spells of rain interspersed with drier interludes.
“Further southeast, predominantly fine, with a spell of hot weather breaking at the start of this period.”
It adds that much of England could still see warm or very warm temperatures for at least a couple of days and there is a possibility that the heat could last further into the week, especially in the south, where there is also the possibility of some thunderstorms.
It continues: “Beyond this, probably a resumption of widely somewhat fresher conditions, with a lot of dry weather to be had in the south under the influence of high pressure.
“Meanwhile a rather more changeable and breezier theme will continue further to the north but it may become increasingly settled.”
