Katie Price says she’s devastated she’s been cut out of her daughter Princess’ new reality show, The Princess Diaries. She’s also accused ITV2 bosses of causing a rift between her and Princess and rejecting her offer of three days of free filming which she wanted included in the series. She’s also furious at having been banned from giving Princess her expertise and guidance on how to handle fame.
Well, of course she has. What expertise, what guidance could she possibly pass on to her daughter having blown her own £40M fortune thanks to her stupidity, arrogance and ego. Then there’s her drink and drug addictions, her convictions, her bankruptcies, her arrests, her three disastrous marriages and her very public displays of bad behaviour.
Does she not understand the people now guiding her daughter’s career want it separated from what Price’s now is – not least because these days she’s reduced to selling naked pics of herself on OnlyFans and flogging her old lingerie online.
And then there is the little matter of how she now looks – her once beautiful face butchered by a series of plastic surgery ops which have left her looking like a walking freak show.
“I haven’t been allowed to go to any photo shoots, no signings, no openings. Nothing,” wails Price.
Of course, she hasn’t because it’s not her show and everyone knows she’d be unable to resist the temptation to steal the show from Princess who’s just starting out and wants to be the star of her own show, not an extra in what would become a mad, bad Katie Price extravaganza.
Price is now so consumed by anger, self-pity and selfishness that she doesn’t see what this looks like from the outside – her desperately trying to inject life into her own broken career by pushing her way into Princess’.
Now she’s publicly vowed never to watch the show.
How could any loving Mum say that? And just who the Hell does she think she’ll be hurting here – not the TV bosses who won’t give a stuff whether she watches it or not. The only person getting hurt will be Princess who loves her mother and wants her approval.
Doesn’t Price see she’s even made the launch of Princess’ show all about HER and HER devastation. She’s already snatched the limelight from her little girl who’s working hard to carve out her own life and career yet her gobby Mother is blabbing to the papers about HER pain. It’s the ultimate selfishness!
Katie Price needs to accept that at 47 with her once beautiful face wrecked, her fortune and her reputation gone, her once dazzling career is over. And she did it all to herself. She had her shot at money and fame, and she blew it. And if she really loves Princess she needs to butt out and let her have hers.
But still, she won’t let go: “I know this job inside out. If anyone should be guiding and advising Princess, it’s me.”
Can’t she see she’s in no position to lecture anyone on how to handle fame and money – because she’s failed at it. Spectacularly! The once self-made millionaire and a feminist icon was so consumed by her own arrogance, extravagance and ego that she blew it all. She literally couldn’t handle it. So how can she possibly advise Princess?
But Price needs to be careful because if she carries on with this “Me Me” fest she’s very likely to lose her daughter. Just like she’s lost everything else!
