An active shooter at a military airfield in the American state of Georgia has prompted a lockdown order. The Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield (FSHAA) Commander issued a lockdown in the 2ABCT zone at the military area. The order also includes Wright and Evans Army Airfield which, much like Fort Stewart.

The lockdown, affecting also nearby schools, comes as the incident involving an active shooter happened in the 2d Brigade area located off of highway 144 near Sunbury Road, as reported by Lt. Col Angel Tomko, Division PIO.
