Oasis concertgoers were left in shock after a tragic incident at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, where a fan plummeted to their death. A man in his 40s was declared deceased at the venue after being "found with injuries consistent with a fall".

"I was right there," one fan recounted in a comment on an Oasis fan group on Facebook. "It was horrific." A parent whose teenager attended the gig shared that their son "saw him falling" but couldn't see the landing. They said: "He asked me this morning to check for news about him, and there was nothing all morning so we hoped he was fine - so so sad to read the update this afternoon." Another attendee described the incident as "awful", mentioning that the man fell into their block and that her friend's daughter attempted CPR "until the paramedics arrived". Claire Collier commented: "It happened about [five] mins before the end of the gig, it was awful... thinking of his family and friends and everyone that witnessed it."

Vincent Muylle, who was also at the concert, recalled the "euphoric" atmosphere being shattered by the "very shocking" event. "He fell, right in front of us," he stated.

Oasis released a statement saying: "We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved."

The Metropolitan Police reported: "A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"The stadium was busy and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage. If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101."

Petrina Whiley expressed: "I think we are all in a state of shock at what happened last night."

During their Sunday performance at Wembley, Oasis paid tribute with their song Live Forever to "all the people who can't be here tonight". Liam Gallagher addressed the crowd, saying: "This one's for all the people who can't be here tonight, but who are here if you know what I mean, and aren't they looking lovely. Live Forever."

A representative for Wembley Stadium commented on Sunday: "Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall.

"Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them."
