A heartbreaking update has been issued by Jeremy Clarkson regarding a fan favourite from his Amazon Prime show, Clarkson's Farm.

The presenter turned farmhand took to social media app X and confirmed a bout of illness had spread across Diddly Squat farm earlier this week.

Fans offered their best wishes to Clarkson, with the bad news leaving everyone "absolutely devastated."

Further updates were given by the 65-year-old, who has confirmed there was an "inconclusive" test on a much-loved farm animal. Clarkson says he "couldn't bear it" if he lost the cow – and fans were in agreement.

The Amazon Prime presenter confirmed a bout of tuberculosis had spread through the cows on the farm, with testing underway.

Confirming the bovine tuberculosis, Clarkson took to X and wrote: "Bad news from Diddly Squat. We've gone down with TB. Everyone here is absolutely devastated."

A tweet just an hour later added: "I should clear this up really. It's Bovine TB that we have. It doesn't affect people, just our poor cows." One such "poor cow" which could be affected is fan favourite, Endgame.

An update has been issued by Clarkson on the much-loved animal, after a fan of the show asked for an update. They wrote: "Poor cows. Hopefully Endgame is ok."

Clarkson replied: "His test was 'inconclusive'. I couldn't bear it if we lost him." Another fan of the show hopes the "offending beast" can be quarantined and culled, but Clarkson issued a further heartbreaking update on the animal.

He wrote: "The offending animal is pregnant with twins." Clarkson also confirmed that, by law, the animal would have to be "culled".

"They have to be culled," he wrote. "It's the law." Fans have since shared their well wishes in a post to the r/ClarksonsFarm Reddit page.

One fan wrote: "Great - they have to cull the cattle. Including presumably, Endgame." Another added: "Not all of them, only the ones that test positive." A third added: "We'll still love him anyways."

Another fan, who claims to be a veterinarian, has shed some light on the next steps, and what it means for fan favourite Endgame. They wrote: "He has an Inconclusive reactor.

"Depending on exactly his areas rules are, that cow will either have to be retested or culled. The herd will be under movement restrictions until further notice but will not stop the slaughter of animals. It will not affect any of the other species on the farm."

Information gathered by The TBHub suggests risk reduction strategies such as isolating the herd, putting effective barriers between neighbouring herds, and not sharing farm equipment while testing is ongoing.
