Katie Price has provided an update on her son Harvey, who at 23 years old, has left National Star College and relocated closer to his glamour model mother. Katie, 47, revealed that Harvey was moved to tears after leaving the specialist college in Cheltenham to live nearer to her, as he continues to miss her. This follows a recent photo shared by Katie that sparked concern among fans.
Harvey's departure from the residential college was prompted by cuts to council funding and Katie's second bankruptcy declaration. Earlier this month, Katie disclosed that Harvey is making a significant transition towards independent living in Littlehampton, set to commence in October.
Katie has secured temporary accommodation for Harvey before he takes a major leap into the "real world". During the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, the mum confessed her emotional struggle while watching Harvey's leavers assembly at the college. Katie informed her listeners: "I've had a busy week with the kids this week as well, Harvey had his leavers on Friday.", reports the Mirror.
She also shared that she has received his leavers certificates from his former college, National Star College. Katie elaborated: "They put it all in a book, all his photos through all his photos from the years he's been there. I haven't opened it yet, it's over there, so I'm going to video myself looking at it."
Speaking about the emotional assembly, which she found hard to keep her composure during, Katie shared: "And then when he went on stage – you know when they say how good he was and all of that – I was like, 'don't cry, don't cry' I kept it in, it was nearly there, nearly got a tear.
"I kept it in and I was like, 'I'm gonna try not to cry' and I felt my lip go [she then makes a quivering sound] like that. Because that's it, no more college. And they were all crying there because they're going to miss him."
The television personality then gave an update on Harvey's new living situation and how he is adjusting to his new flat in Southampton.
She detailed Harvey's significant move: "So I took him to his place in Southampton, he was so excited.Katie then disclosed that Harvey sent her a drawing he had made of the view outside his window, as he shared a screenshot of the view and drew a moon, stars and pictures of Katie and JJ on.She continued: "So he seems happy, he hadn't FaceTimed me all day and then I FaceTimed him just before my lashes and he was in bed crying. ""I asked, 'what are you crying for?' [Harvey says] 'because I miss you' and I asked, 'Are you happy there?' And he replied, 'Yes' and I asked, 'Did you have a good day' and he said, 'Yes'.
So then I told him I'm gonna see you on Saturday and then he asked, 'What time' and I'm like, 'Harv let me wake up first I don't know, in the morning but you're nearer Mummy's'. ".
