Members of the Royal Family have some of the most important names in history which have influenced trends and been used for whole periods of time - including the Georgian and Victorian eras. It is fair to say that the art of naming a new royal baby is incredibly delicate, especially if that baby is destined to one day be King or Queen.

And while names like William, George, Henry, and Elizabeth are entirely classic, they are not always the most popular. As the Office for National Statistics reveals the list of the most popular baby names of 2024, it may come as a surprise to see that there is only one female royal name that has made the top 10 - and it's not a well-known face.

This young royal is a great-granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and spends a great deal of time out of the spotlight.

Isla has been ranked as the fourth most popular name in the top 100 names for baby girls in England and Wales in 2024, coming in just behind Olivia, Amelia and Lily.

Other royal members to make the cut are Mia in 14th place, Sienna at 19th, Charlotte at 23rd, Sophie in 50th place, Elizabeth at 62nd, Zara at 69th, and finally, Athena falls in 96th position.

Isla Elizabeth Phillips was born on March 29, 2012 at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to Peter and Autumn Phillips and is the younger sister of Savannah.

She is the second granddaughter of The Princess Royal and the second great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Savannah and Isla Phillips live an incredibly private life away from the public eye in a home on the Gatcombe Estate in Gloucestershire.

In early January 2020, Peter and Autumn Phillips announced that they had separated and would be filing for divorce. It was understood that the couple would still live near each other in Gloucestershire and raise their two children as normally as possibly.

Their divorce was finalised on June 14, 2021 and a statement released on their behalf read: "Mr Peter Phillips and Mrs Autumn Phillips are pleased to be able to report that the financial aspects of their divorce have been resolved through agreement, the terms of which have been approved and ordered by the High Court today.

"Whilst this is a sad day for Peter and Autumn, they continue to put the wellbeing and upbringing of their wonderful daughters Savannah and Isla first and foremost."

It continued: "Both Peter and Autumn are pleased to have resolved matters amicably with the children firmly at the forefront of those thoughts and decisions. Peter & Autumn have requested privacy and consideration for their children as the family adapts to a new chapter in their lives."
