The 85-year-old musician told fans he was "very sorry" to step down at the 11th hour as he shared his heartbreak at inconveniencing thousands of ticket holds.
In a statement, the Welsh crooner said: "Hello to all the fans in Bremen. Unfortunately, I must postpone my show this evening, as I've contracted an upper respiratory infection that needs treatment and rest.
"I know this is really disappointing and will cause inconvenience to you all, and I'm very sorry about that. But the show will now go ahead on Monday 28th July, so I look forward to seeing you then. All tickets will remain valid for the re-scheduled date. Until then, thank you for your understanding. Love, Tom."
The Delilah star, who recently celebrated his 85th birthday, was sent well wishes from his legion of adoring fans as many wished the singer a speedy recovery.
His gig comes after the Sex Bomb singer previously sparked concern among fans after announcing the UK and European leg of his tour just days after celebrating his 85th birthday.
Fans were concerned for the dad-of-two's health and the strains and pressure a tour can bring. One user urged: “Please take care, that’s a very long tour.”
Another added: “Again, congratulations on your 85th birthday. I love, love you and the boys. Don’t understand why you need to tour so much. It’s so taxing even on your hips, your knees, your feet. Stay home and enjoy life in London. You’ve worked hard enough.”
