King Charles is "cautious and wary" about Prince Harry's invitation to the 2027 Invictus Games, but he could still make an appearance in a major show of support to his son. Harry's desire to mend ties with the Royal Family after his acrimonious split and relocation to the US five years ago is no secret, but it has so far been met with an apparent lack of reciprocation.
The Duke of Sussex's hopes of reuniting with his father when the Invictus Games, his multi-sport event for veterans and military personnel, comes to the UK in 2027 could happen, a royal expert has predicted. Hilary Fordwich told Fox News: "King Charles, while cautious and wary, might attend the Invictus Games. But of course, he prefers all private matters to remain private. In addition, there are many conflicts with the royal schedule, let alone Queen Camilla's 80th birthday during the games." Prince William, however, will almost certainly not be in attendance, Ms Fordwich said, and "regards any reconciliation [as] a huge mistake".
