Prince Harry's reconciliation efforts with King Charles may be boosted by a key member of the Royal Family, a source has claimed. The Duke of Sussex's aides were snapped in London having a chat with those of the King recently, which sparked hopes for a possible reconciliation between the two camps in the future.

While some reports suggested Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have no plans to "re-establish themselves in the UK," several royal watchers saw the latest news as a step towards the right direction in healing the bitter rift between the Duke and his royal relatives, which could lead to a happier future in the long run. Now a new report, paying tribute to Princess Anne – who will turn 75 on August 15 – suggested she could be a key player ein the "peace-building" process between Harry and the Firm.

The Times reported how, when Harry spoke in his memoir about calling a therapist after a physical fight with Prince William, a royal source said that he could have called his aunt, Princess Anne – the "ultimate uncomplaining spare" – instead.

A friend of the Royal Family told the outlet: "He really ought to talk to Princess Anne.

"She often talked about how, as children, she was treated so differently from Charles. She was second to him and kicked further down the line of succession as a woman, but she forged her own path.

"In her twenties she was bolshy and upset about a lot of things, but she came through that. He should talk to her about her experiences. She is shrewd. She could tell him a lot about what she went through."

It comes as sources claimed the Duke has "no plans" to return to the UK, despite the recent "peace talks".

Harry's chief communications officer, Meredith Maines and Liam Maguire, who runs the Sussexes' PR team in the UK, were snapped on a balcony close to Clarence House in London, having a chat with Tobyn Andreae, the King's communications secretary. Prince William's aides were not in attendance.

But a source said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very much enjoying their life in Montecito, California and do not wish to move back to Britain.

They told the Mail: "They’re [Harry and Meghan] very happy living in and raising their family in California and, as it stands, have no plans to leave."
