Meghan Markle has made her first comment on Instagram, and her wording appeared to be reminiscent of a viral comment the Royal Family made a few weeks ago. The Duchess of Sussex was featured in Hollywood star Shonda Rhimes's new reel on social media.

The TV producer and screenwriter, who is behind many highly adored shows like Grey's Anatomy, How to Get Away With Murder, and Bridgerton, posted a new video with a nod to the Duchess. Shonda could be seen in her home, with her hands on her hips, with the first-person caption "I should be writing," before another clip showed her in her garden, right in front of her chicken coop, holding a basket of eggs, with the second caption reading: "But I'd rather be playing Meghan Markle". The Duchess liked the post and even took to the comment section to reply to the Hollywood star: "I see you, Shonda! Come play anytime [chicken, yellow heart, egg and laughing face emojis].

Meghan owns a chicken coop herself at her home she shares with Prince Harry, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in Montecito, California.

She first showed clips of her chickens during her infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, when the TV star visited them at their mansion.

The Sussexes' chicken coop used to have a sign "Archie's Chick Inn — established 2021" with Meghan adding that she "loves rescuing".

Meghan's wording on Instagram appeared to be similar to a comment made by the Royal Family last month to Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo's pregnant dancing video inside Buckingham Palace, which appeared to mock Harry and Meghan's viral twerking video shared days before.

The celebrity couple, who are expecting their first child together, had attended a reception at Buckingham Palace for the winners of the King's Trust Awards 2025.

TV star Jamie then took to his Instagram account to post a video of him and Sophie dancing to Starrkeisha's Baby Momma - the same song used by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in their controversial video - while standing on the Grand Staircase of the royal residence.

Fans were in stitches over the video, with several of them making comments about it being similar to Harry and Meghan's video.

But one comment emerged as the highlight, and it was none other than the Royal Family's response.

The Firm took to its official Instagram account to write: "We see you [eyes and wink emojis]."
