A spine-chilling new museum packed with “haunted” artefacts, macabre true crime memorabilia and even a restaurant dishing up the final meals of notorious murderers is set to open its doors this month.

Visitors with a taste for the terrifying will be able to explore a bizarre collection of eerie objects linked to ghost stories and infamous crimes. But it’s the venue’s grisly eatery that’s likely to send shivers down the spine – serving up exact replicas of the last meals eaten by some of history’s most infamous killers.

The unsettling new attraction promises an immersive experience for those brave enough to step inside – but it’s not for the faint-hearted.

Where can I try a last meal?

The Ohio Museum of Horror will offer visitors a taste of true terror along with the final meals of infamous serial killers.

Horrifying real-life relics like human skulls, hair-raising 'haunted' objects, Ouija boards, and blood-curdling horror movie memorabilia are set to greet guests at the museum, promising an immersive journey through the macabre.

Founder Nate Thompson, already known for operating a similar eerie establishment in Michigan, told NBC4: "We just try to create an immersive experience for everybody, dealing in both the real-life aspect of horror and then also the fictional side of horror."

What last meals are there?

With its doors set within the walls of a haunted 1900-built edifice in Galion, the dark history of the venue itself adds to the museum's grim allure, as detailed by Nate.

To amplify the unnerving atmosphere, 'The Last Meal' restaurant at the museum will serve a menu inspired by the last requests of notorious death row inmates, including ghastly, themed drinks, all presented on "prison-style platter,", as reported by Mirror US.

Included among the morbidly fascinating choices is the last supper of John Wayne Gacy: fried chicken and shrimp, strawberries, and French fries.

In a gesture to those affected by the harrowing crimes showcased, the restaurant plans to contribute some proceeds to victim support charities.

How much does the horror museum cost?

Nate is aiming for the museum's unveiling to coincide with Inkcarceration, the massive festival taking place on July 18-20 at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield.

"I want this to be an affordable experience; like myself, if you have a whole carload of kids, sometimes you like to experience things and only spend $50."

Nate has expressed his ambition to open more horror-themed museums across the country.

Tickets for the grand opening are available online, priced at $10 for those aged 13 and over, $6 for children, with under fives admitted free of charge.
