Spice Girls icon Geri Horner reverted to her maiden name after filming a video for the designer label, Dior. It came after her husband Christian Horner was caught up in controversy after numerous messages he allegedly sent to a female colleague were leaked in 2024. An internal investigation was initiated into his alleged "inappropriate behaviour", and Horner was cleared of any wrongdoing. The team principal has been let go by Red Bull a year after the scandal.

Geri, 52, and Christian, 51 have been married since 2015 and share a son. In an Instagram video following the scandal, she looked radiant in white and introduced herself as: "C'est moi Geri, Geri Halliwell ", which translates to "It's me Geri, Geri Halliwell". She was then shown an exhibition from Dior's archives and expressed admiration for the designs from the French fashion house. However, Geri later addressed the speculation she had formally reverted her name back, as she revealed why she had changed it for the video, telling he Sunday Times: "That's a load of c**p. It's my writing name. I haven't legally changed anything — Horner is the name on my passport."

On Instagram, Geri's handle is @gerihalliwellhorner, as she decided to bring back her maiden name for professional reasons.

Christian addressed the scandal at the time, telling Daily Mail: "What happened at the start of the year felt like a perfect storm. In life, it is a great lesson that the more success you have, the more of a target you become.

"Anything that can be used to unsettle and destabilise you and the team and the business. What disappointed me more than anything was the steps that people went to in order to try and achieve that."

Red Bull Austria, the company behind the racing team, issued an emphatic statement: "The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed. The complainant has a right of appeal. Red Bull is confident that the investigation has been fair, rigorous and impartial."

Elaborating on their stance, the company affirmed: "The investigation report is confidential and contains the private information of the parties and third parties who assisted in the investigation, and therefore we will not be commenting further out of respect for all concerned. Red Bull will continue striving to meet the highest workplace standards."
